What IS The American Society of Landscape Architects (www.asla.org), devotes much thought- and space- to the subject: Landscape Design, the historical core of the profession, is concerned with detailed outdoor space design for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and public spaces. Many Landscape Architects limit their practice to planting design. We don't. We are trained land planners, and we know how to build things.
