Michael's Plant Classes Start This Week

It's new! It's improved!

Classes start at Barron Collier for adults this week and run 6 weeks. I'll be teaching a couple of Macintosh courses, as well as my Plant Identification course.

Mac classes Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 630. Plant classes at 630 on Thursday–yes, I know that the schedules conflict, but depending on the students, I'll combine the classes.

You will learn about a hundred plants–no more guessing!

Plant ID Classes

My Plant ID classes start again for a six week run on April 12th, 630 to 830. You will learn to identify about 120 common landscape plants in SouthWest Florida.

Additionally, I do a lecture on Irrigation, Lighting, and on the Design Elements, as well as a discussion of the history of Binomial Nomenclature.

All slides have been updated for this class, so if you took the class before I will be covering new territory.

For those of you having problems with this file, let me please apologize for having wasted your time.

You see, I do my slides with a Mac program called 'Keynote'. The file won't open with anything else. I knew that, having gone through the process countless times, but still, this one I screwed up.

And, since I've revised my lesson plans, the story gets more complicated!  The simplest thing will be to upload the entire course lecture series. There is at least one pitfall: I do tend to go on, and to deviate. I also add/ delete slides. However, this will be a valuable reference for identifying class.

So there you have it. An easy thing for me, a one-time deal for you.You simply click, and it downloads. If not, you right-click, and then tell the computer where to save the file. I'm not a Windows person, but this is pretty nicely handled by Microsoft.
